Florida women's basketball rallies for victory in SEC Tournament
The Florida women's basketball team managed to fight its way back from an 11-point second half deficit to earn a 64-59 win over No. 8 seed Arkansas this afternoon in the SEC Tournament at The Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Florida closed the game on a 6-0 run after taking the lead for the final time with 51 seconds remaining.
It was the third straight year the Gators have won their first-round SEC Tournament game. With the victory, No. 9 seed Florida (18-13) will play top-seeded Tennessee (23-6) on Friday at 12 p.m.
Florida junior Jaterra Bonds scored a game-high 17 points, including a career-high 10 free-throws (10-of-12). She also had her 22nd double-figure scoring game of the season.
