TALLAHASSEE — Florida State QB Sean Maguire has an anonymous teammate to thank for a trick shot video that went viral.

After a recent workout, Maguire said a teammate — he won't reveal which one — told him he wouldn't be able to throw a football over the stadium wall.

The teammate initially suggested a small wall, but Maguire upped the ante by suggesting one that was a little higher. The result was this video, which has been picked up by USA Today and other outlets.

"That was my first try," Maguire said after Wednesday's practice. "I only did it because there was someone on this team who told me it was physically impossible because it was like straight up. I just had to prove him wrong."

One of FSU's equipment managers recorded the throw and posted it online.

Maguire, for what it's worth, said he had never practiced anything like that before, and he has never even tried to see how many yards he can throw the ball.

He's not the first Seminole quarterback to attempt such a feat. Current Bucs rookie Jameis Winston famously launched a ball over a fraternity house.
