Gators basketball schedule is set for 2013-14
Florida fans will have an opportunity to root against Florida State twice in one weekend in late November.
The Gators have finalized their 2013-14 men's basketball schedule and the Gators will host Florida State on Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. on the eve of the Florida-Florida State football game. The teams play annually, but meet in basketball on the same weekend only when the Florida-Florida State football game is held in Gainesville.
In the second year of the SEC's 18-game league schedule, the Gators will play home-and-home series against Kentucky (its annual permanent rival), Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and South Carolina.
The Gators will host Georgia, LSU, Missouri and Texas A&M and will travel to Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.
Nearly all of Florida's games will be nationally televised: three on CBS, nine on ESPN or ESPN2 (at least five of which will be on ESPN) andtwo ESPNU. Also, Florida will play twice on the SEC Network and once each on CSS and FSN.
Three of the Gators' SEC games will be featured on ESPN's Super Tuesday telecast: Feb. 4 vs. Missouri, Feb. 11 at Tennessee and Feb. 25 at Vanderbilt.
The Gators play at Connecticut on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m., on ESPN2.
Florida will open the season with an exhibition game vs. Florida Southern at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1.
