Gators coach Mike Holloway earns South region Coach of the Year honors
Florida Track and Field coach Mike Holloway has been named the South Region Indoor Women's Coach of the Year by the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
Florida’s Arman Hall and Cory McGee were named the USTFCCCA South Region Indoor Men’s and Women’s Athletes of the Year.
Hall, a sophomore, is the No. 2 collegian and No. 3 in the world this year in the 400m (45.28) and No. 3 in the 200m (20.58), good for sixth in the world. Both times came at the SEC Championships, where he won the 200m title and finished runner-up at 400m en route to moving to No. 7 on the all-time collegiate indoor performers list. Hall additionally ran the anchor leg of the runner-up 4×400 relay that tied the old collegiate record and set a new Florida school record (3:03.50).
McGee, a senior, was the high scorer at the SEC Championships with a PR and title at 3000m (9:10.48), a runner-up finish and season-best mark in the mile (4:35.03) and a leg of the winning distance medley relay (11:08.11).
