Gators freshman LB Matt Rolin injured
The injury bug continues to plague the Gators in preseason camp.
Freshman LB Matt Rolin suffered a knee injury in Wednesday’s practice, possibly an ACL.
It would be the second ACL injury for the Gators after senior WR/KR Andre Debose suffered a season-ending ACL on Tuesday.
Debose's teammates on Thursday said they are heartbroken for the fifth-year senior, who has had his season ended by an injury for the second time in his career.
RB Mack Brown said he's waiting a few days until he meets with Debose.
"You know when somebody goes down with an injury likethat you want to give them a couple of days because you don’t know what they’re going through," Brown said. "So I just prayed for him. . . I haven’t seen him since (Wednesday). I know he will (come back strong). Once he gets surgery, I know he’ll be rehabbing his butt off."
FB Hunter Joyer said it was tough to watch Debose suffer another injury.
"It's tough, just seeing his reaction to how the whole thing went down," Joyer said. "We definitely lost a step at the WR position, but I feel like the other guys will be fine."
