Gators offensive lineman Jon Halapio expected to make debut vs. Tennessee

Florida senior OL Jon Halapio is expected to play for the first time this season when the Gators host Tennessee this Saturday.

Halapio is listed as the starter at right guard on the Gators' most recently updated depth chart, released today.

A St. Petersburg Catholic alum, Halapio missed all of fall camp and the Gators' first two games recoverting from the injury he sustained just prior to the start of fall camp.

His return is critical for the Gators, who have sustained multiple injuries to several members of the O-line during fall camp and the first two games.

Florida coach Will Muschamp said Halapio practiced this past Thursday for the first time with contact.

Also newsworthy, S Marcus Maye has been replaced on the depth chart as starter by senior Jaylen Watkins. Maye was the guy who bit on the play-action fake from Miami QB Stephen Morris that led to a 52-yard TD pass.
