Gators QB commit Will Grier repeats at Gatorade North Carolina Player of the Year
Will Grier, the senior North Carolina QB who has orally committed to Florida, has been named the Gatorade North Carolina Player of the Year.
It is the second consecutive year Grier has earned the honor.
Grier led Davidson Day School to a 12-1 record and a third consecutive North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association state championship this season. Grier, who is 6-foot-3, 195 pounds, threw for 4,989 yards and 77 touchdowns.
He also rushed for 1,252 yards and 13 touchdowns on 115 carries.
The Gatorade Player of the Year Award recognizes outstanding athletic excellence and high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field.
