Gators RB Matt Jones undergoes another surgery
Florida RB Matt Jones underwent another surgery this week in an effort to finish repairing the damage he sustained after tearing his MCL this past season.
"Matt Jones had his second surgery on his knee (Wednesday), and it was 90 percent healed," Florida coach Will Muschamp said. They feel very comfortable that it's way further along than they thought it would be at this time, and feel really good about him progressing well."
Jones will not participate in spring drills.
Jones suffered the injury in the Oct. 12 LSU game and missed the remainder of the season. The injury was an especially tough blow because Jones had missed all of preseason practice recovering from the effects of a viral infection.
He is expected to be able to parcipate in fall drills.
Also, OL Tyler Moore is progressing with the broken elbow he suffered in a scooter accident late in the season.
