Florida State would have a 0.7 percent chance of winning a 16-team college football playoff.

That's one of the takeaways from this interesting story from Prediction Machine.

The site ran 50,000 simulations of a 16-seed bracket, where the Seminoles were the No. 9 seed and faced Notre Dame in the first round. Although the Irish had a better chance of winning that game, FSU was more likely to win the national title than Notre Dame, according to the simulations.
