While the state braces for Hurricane Matthew, the Florida Gators are taking a wait-and-see approach to how the storm might affect Saturday's home game against LSU.

"There has been no change as it relates to the state of Saturday's football game," executive associate athletic director Chip Howard said. "We continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Matthew and its potential impact on campus. We are working closely with local, state and university officials as well as the Southeastern Conference office."

Miami is also monitoring the storm. The Hurricanes host rival Florida State on Saturday night.
