Jim McElwain on Florida Gators' satellite camps, Vols and suspended players
Florida Gators coach Jim McElwain said his team is still sorting out its plans for satellite camps in the coming weeks but will participate in the process.
"We'll use it to let our guys get out to places and institute camps and do some evaluation along the way," McElwain said during Wednesday's SEC East coaches' teleconference. "We're in the process of putting our traveling show together. Should be fun. Looking forward to it."
McElwain didn't give any details about a schedule. Michigan and Auburn are among the schools that plan to head to Tampa for satellite camps.
McElwain said former five-star OL Martez Ivey (shoulder) is ahead of schedule in his rehab.
McElwain said Tennessee - a preseason favorite to win the division "should beat the heck out of us. We'll be lucky to show up."
"Status quo" remains the status of suspended receiver Antonio Callaway and quarterback Treon Harris.
