SEC media days begin today in Hoover, Ala. Signs are plentiful.

HOOVER, Ala. -- Good morning from scenic Hoover, the site of the unofficial kickoff to the college football season -- the annual SEC media days.

The festivities kick off around 12:30 Eastern time with remarks from commissioner Greg Sankey. Florida's representatives - second-year coach Jim McElwain, linebacker Jarrad Davis, defensive back Marcus Maye and offensive lineman David Sharpe - will meet with reporters in the afternoon. We'll also hear from Auburn, Vanderbilt and College Football Playoff executive director Bill Hancock, who should provide an update to January's national title game at Raymond James Stadium.

One Gators note worth mentioning: Receiver Antonio Callaway and Treon Harris are both listed on the media guide roster. Callaway was able to take classes this summer and work out with the team, but last we heard, his long-term status remains unresolved over a code of conduct investigation over an unspecified charge.

Nothing has emerged about Harris' situation since his suspension became public just before the start of spring practice. For what it's worth, Harris is still listed on the roster as a quarterback, despite speculation that he could move to receiver.

What, if anything, does that all mean? We'll try to find out later today.
