Loss to Michigan more painful because of its the end for seniors
Florida's 79-59 loss to Michigan would have been painful for the Gators players no matter what, since it ended its chance to advance to the NCAA Final Four.
But for the Florida underclassmen, it was even tougher because it meant their last chance to play with the Gators' three seniors: Kenny Boynton, Mike Rosario and Erik Murphy.
"It was a great season,'' junior guard Scottie Wilbekin said. "My most fun season since I’ve been here. The thing that hurts the most right now is saying goodbye to these three seniors because I really love these guys. We’re just a really close group and I hate to see it end. But it was a great season. Looking back, we won the SEC championship so that’s one good thing we can hang our hats on."
