Miami Hurricanes expecting Dalvin Cook to play Saturday
Although Florida State running back Dalvin Cook remains day to day with a hamstring injury, Miami is preparing as if the Seminoles' star sophomore will be playing Saturday night.
"We're expecting Cook to be able to play," Hurricanes coach Al Golden said Wednesday. "Regardless of who's back there, we've got to get ready for their blocking schemes and what they're doing in the run game."
Cook injured his hamstring in the first quarter of last week's win at Wake Forest. Despite missing the final three quarters, he still ranks eighth nationally with 142.5 rushing yards per game.
Cook didn't practice Monday, and FSU coach Jimbo Fisher didn't provide an update on his availability during Wednesday's ACC coaches teleconference.
Fisher told reporters yesterday that Cook could still play Saturday night, even if he doesn't practice this week.
