Report: NCAA hears appeal of suspended Gators quarterback Will Grier
Florida quarterback Will Grier's appeal took another step Monday when he presented his case to the NCAA, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Orlando attorney Clay Townsend told the Sentinel in the statement that he, Grier and UF participated in a conference call with the NCAA on Monday. Grier received a one-year suspension last month for violating the NCAA's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
"We have worked diligently on the investigation and appeal and we, along with all of the Gator Nation, look forward to Will's return to eligibility as soon as possible," Townsend said in his statement to the Sentinel. "When the NCAA's decision is rendered, we will issue a statement. I have no further comment at this time as to the conference, its substance, procedures or attendees."
