Trey Burton ready to do "everything" for the Gators
In three seasons at Florida, Trey Burton has done it all on offense: QB, RB, WR.
The senior said this week he's hoping that trend continues.
Asked what his role will be this year, Burton said "Hopefully a little bit of everything."
However, for now he's seeing most of his time in the Gators' fall camp at wide receiver, with a little TE thrown in.
"I'm with Joker (Phillips) a lot, so that's good," Burton said.
Burton has played in 38 games, starting in 22. He has 664 yards and 16 touchdowns on 141 carries and 69 receptions for 531 yards in his career.
With new receivers coach Joker Phillips in the fold, the Florida wide receivers position is one of the most heated battles of the fall. Junior WR Quinton Dunbar said Armwood's Alvin Bailey and Jacksonville Bishop Kenny's Ahmad Fulwood have been the freshmen who have stood out in camp so far.
