Tyler Murphy says Gators still confident despite losing streak
Florida QB Tyler Murphy said the Gators remain confident as they head into this weekend's South Carolina game depite a four-game losing streak and the possibility of missing out on a bowl game.
But, he admits, getting a victory over the Gamecocks won't be an easy task.
“We feel confident that we can definitely go into South Carolina and win, but it’s not gonna be easy," Murphy said. "We’re gonna have to have a great week of practice and show up on Saturday and execute and do the things we have struggled with throughout the season. We’re gonna have to have a lot of things come together and we’re gonna have to probably play our best game of the year.”
Unfortunately for the Gators, Murphy won't be able to practice for at least two days this week, still suffering from a shoulder injury. Murphy said if the game had been on Monday, he wouldn't have been able to play.
Asked if he'll definitely play on Saturday, Murphy said: "I'm not 100 percent sure. It's more of a day-to-day thing. I'm just trying to get healthy so I can get back out there and I can try to contribute to help out this team."
