Will Muschamp defends his players, tells Florida fans to "get a grip"
In an emotional postgame speech following the Gators' 19-14 loss at South Carolina, Florida coach Will Muschamp praised his players for not giving up under difficult circumstances, and chastised some fans for being negative.
The Gators are on a five-game losing streak, and need wins in their final two regular season games to become bowl-eligible.
Florida has lost 10 players to season-ending injuries, and after the game Muschamp said that's not an excuse, it's reality.
"It’s not excuses, it’s real," he said. "It really is. You can say what you want to say and you can write whatever the hell you want to write, but it’s real. It’s frustrating. It’s frustrating for that locker room."
