Now an ex-principal

Anthony_giancola_1He bought crack while in his school office. He got arrested. Now Anthony Giancola has resigned. Superintendent MaryEllen Elia got, and accepted, the letter from the now-former principal of Van Buren Middle School just moments ago. Here's what he had to say: "With a heavy heart I respectfully tender my resignation from Hillsborough County Public Schools, effective immediately, due to personal issues I am attempting to deal with at this time." Assistant principal Allison Edgecomb took over until a new principal can be hired. Here's the letter that went home to parents.
