State tuition battle gets Big Apple attention

The ongoing tuition battle between lawmakers and the board charged with overseeing universities is apparently interesting and important enough to merit space in the New York Times.

Stanley Fish, an FIU law school professor, wrote a guest column published in today's paper in which he lays out the power struggle playing out down here. The title pretty much sums up the dilemma facing public higher education in Florida: "Access vs. Quality."
