No more porn found

After learning that Gulf Middle School's official web site linked students to a gay porn site, Pasco superintendent Heather Fiorentino ordered a complete audit of all the links on all the district's web pages.

The results are in: No one reported finding any other inappropriate links.

Fiorentino acknowledged that incidents like the one at Gulf Middle can and will happen. She said the district will be increasingly vigilant to combat future problems.

"We have sent out the same guidelines to all schools. Links must be checked. MySpace should not be used, or any other space that does not get past the firewall," Fiorentino said. "We've learned from this and are moving forward."
