Superintendent hopefuls, check this out

Dr_dearing
Manatee County needs a new schools superintendent.

Roger Dearing (left), who has led the 42,000-student district just south of Hillsborough and Pinellas since 2003, is headed off to lead the Florida High School Athletic Association. He won the job earlier today, our sister blog High School Sports reports.

Manatee School Board members predicted that Dearing would get the job soon after he announced his candidacy, and said in May they would launch a superintendent search to have a replacement by December.
