Law schools find out how well they're doing

Results of the most recent Florida Bar exam, released today by the Supreme Court of Florida, puts the University of Miami at the top of the list with a 92.4 percent pass rate.

While FAMU law school remains at the bottom with a 67.9 percent pass rate, the school fared considerably better than in February 2007, when only 52.4 percent of the students were successful.

Here are the pass rates for Florida's other law schools:

Florida International, 90.6
University of Florida, 89.4
Stetson, 85 percent
Nova Southeastern, 85.8
Florida State, 85.4
Florida Coastal, 82.3 percent
St. Thomas, 80 percent
Barry, 75.6 percent

The Court approved 1,477 candidates for admission to the Florida Bar. Formal induction ceremonies to swear in the new lawyers will be held Oct. 6.
