USF professor named Corresponding Fellow

Pat Rogers, Eminent Scholar and DeBartolo Chair of the Humanities at the University of South Florida, has been installed as a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy.

The honor is bestowed each year to only 10 scholars living outside the UK who have attained high international standing in their discipline.

“Dr. Rogers’ installation into the British Academy is one of the most prestigious awards granted to any faculty member at USF in recent history,” USF provost Ralph Wilcox said in a news release. “We are immensely honored to have Dr. Rogers on our faculty. His scholarship has had a profound impact not only at USF but on his discipline across the global academic community.”

Rogers, a specialist in 18th century British literature, has authored or edited 44 books, most recently The Cambridge Companion to Alexander Pope.
