Is Florida State president Wetherell ready to retire?

Wetherell248 The Associated Press is reporting that FSU president T.K. Wetherell will tell trustees on Wednesday of his plans to step down. It's not confirmed yet, but the AP relies on two sources close to Wetherell who don't want to be named.

Wetherell, a former football star for the school, took over in 2003 amid some concerns that he wasn't up to the task. He has endured some continued controversy, but generally has been viewed as a capable leader who's made his school a better place.
