New leadership appointments at USF St. Petersburg
A week after learning that accreditation sanctions against it had been lifted, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg has announced a leadership restructuring “to meet critical business operations.”
Three new USF St. Petersburg hires include:
Maling Ebrahimpour, dean of the College of Business. Ebrahimpour served as dean of the Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, where he led the school through a three-year accreditation process.
Carol G. Hixson, Nelson Poynter Memorial Library Dean. Hixson currently serves as the university librarian at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan.
Linda J.D. Crossman, director of registration and records. Crossman is transferring from Savannah State University, where she worked as university registrar.
Five current employees are taking on new assignments:
Norine Noonan, regional vice chancellor for academic affairs, will absorb the duties of regional associate vice chancellor for research and graduate studies.
Frank Hohengarten, dean of enrollment services, will spearhead specialized advising as USF St. Petersburg adds a pre-health track for the College of Arts and Sciences.
Charlie Justice, an academic advisor at USF St. Petersburg since 2002, will direct the school’s student leadership programs, including the Lead, Learn, Serve learning community.
Helen Levine will become regional vice chancellor for external relations, leading the campus’ communications, community engagement and public affairs efforts.
Holly Kickliter will become director of admissions and marketing, a department that has been restructured to serve prospective undergraduate and transfer students.
