Here's some good news for Pasco School Board watchers.

The district is making progress toward having its board agendas available online. (Searchable minutes look to be part of the package, too!)

After nearly a year spent evaluating systems, a committee has recommended one of them (called Novusolutions) and is asking the board to authorize price negotiations when it meets again next week.

Other area districts have provided e-agendas (and saved loads of paper) for years. Pasco's move comes just as the state requires school districts, along with all other state and local agencies, to make board meeting documents more easily obtainable on their Web sites.

If approved, the new system could be in place by the end of the year.
