The chancellor candidates so far...still no Brogan
R. William Funk, the consultant and search firm owner hired to help the Board of Governors find its next chancellor, has submitted a list of 10 candidates to be considered when the BOG search committee meets via conference call on Monday.
So far the list does not include former lieutenant governor and education commissioner Frank Brogan, but Funk told BOG staff he might have other candidates by the end of this week. In other words, Brogan still has time to turn in his application.
Here's the 10 candidates, including two names – Jesse Balseiro and Richard Berman – new to the list.
Jesse Balseiro, consultant, Case Management Review
Richard Berman, President, Manhattanville College
M.T. Attaf, Professor, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Quebec, Montreal
Steve Hoagland, Research Consultant, UC Irvine
Larry Lemanski, Senior Vice President for Research, Temple University
Steve MacNamara, Associate Professor of Communications, Florida State University
Preston Mercer, Professor of Biochemistry, University of South Florida Polytechnic
Simon Pries, acting President, Marco Polo International University
Chris Sliwa, Associate Professor of Spanish, Fayetteville State University
Bernard Weiss, Fmr. Faculty of Graduate Education, Southern University
