WHERE CREDIT IS DUE:The Hillsborough School District earns accreditation after a rigorous evaluation.

HE'S OUT:Dunedin High School principal Paul Summa is stepping down amid allegations that have raised questions about his leadership.

ASSISTANT SHUFFLE: Seven Hernando assistant principals are headed to new positions.

SHE'S TOPS: Cheryl Conley, a fourth grade teacher in Indian River County, is named Florida's teacher of the year, the Associated Press reports.

PAINFUL CHOICES: The Clay County School Board cuts $1.3 million worth of teaching positions for the 2010-11 school year, the Florida Times-Union reports.

NUCLEAR OPTION: The Palm Beach County teachers union declares an impasse after failing to garner a raise, the Sun Sentinel reports.

RALLYING FOR SHAMED PRINCIPAL: A demoted Palm Beach principal facing the loss of his state certification for admitted misconduct gets support from the superintendent and School Board members, the Sun Sentinel reports.
