Gradebook podcast: On education foundations and their ties to school districts

As Florida school districts seek added funds to support their work, local education foundations step into the void. The groups, backed by area businesses and other donors, offer such programs as classroom grants and teacher awards, and try to back (or sometimes even influence) the academic priorities of their districts. In today's podcast, Pinellas Education Foundation CEO Stacy Carlson talks with reporter Colleen Wright about these relationships, and Carlson's plans for the future of her organization.
