It's that time of year again: Registration is now open for Summer Bridge, the Pinellas County school district's summer program to catch kids up to speed over the long break.
Most elementary, middle and high school programs will take place June 5 to July 19, Monday through Thursday. Registration is free of charge.
The district is adding new programs to reinforce civics lessons for middle school students, help high school students earn assessment scores needed for graduation and prepare incoming ninth graders for high school.
There will be no classes the week of July 4. Find out more at pcsb.org/summerbridge.
The district will also hold four science, technology, engineering and math, or STEM, summer camps for students in grades 4 through 7. They cost $150 a session.
The camps will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at:
- June 4-7, Morgan Fitzgerald Middle
- June 11-14, East Lake Middle
- June 18-21, Leila Davis Elementary
- June 25-28, Pinellas Technical College St. Petersburg Campus
