Classical Prep charter school launches website
Classical Preparatory School has yet to open its doors in Pasco County, despite being approved to debut this fall.
That isn't stopping the school from working to get the word out for next year.
The charter, founded by lawyer Anne Corcoran (who's also the wife of Rep. Richard Corcoran), has launched its official website for parents to find answers to questions about the school. The information includes details about classical education and charter schools, as well as a letter of interests for parents to submit if they want their children to attend in 2014.
What it doesn't say is exactly where the school will be located. Corcoran delayed the opening to find what she deemed a "optimal" site.
"Right now, we're in the process of buying a piece of property in Land O' Lakes," she told the Gradebook via email. "As we get closer to closing, I'll give you more details."
One new charter school, Florida Virtual Academy of Pasco, opened this fall. Three other applicants have asked to open in the fall 2014, but no decisions have been reached on those.
