Clearwater Fundamental Middle still needs a principal

It's the second week of July and Clearwater Fundamental Middle School still hasn't had a new principal named. Former principal Dave Rosenberger was moved to Pinellas Park Middle as part of that school's turnaround efforts.

Superintendent Mike Grego said that the district would work with the parents and community at Clearwater Fundamental in the selection. Rosenberger, who was at the school for 11 years, including four as assistant principal, was very popular. Earlier this year, he called the move bittersweet, but asked the Clearwater Fundamental community to support him in the change.

A new principal could be on the July 16 agenda along with other outstanding appointments for the 2013/14 school year.

Most other principal selections were made in May and June. Schools with new principals include Seminole High, East Lake High, Largo Middle, Plumb Elementary, Melrose Elementary, Northwest Elementary, Campbell Park Elementary, Fairmount Park Elementary, Blanton Elementary, and Calvin Hunsinger.
