Connerton Elementary School principal relieved of duty
Pasco schools superintendent Kurt Browning removed Connerton Elementary principal Anna Falcone on Friday, pending his recommendation to terminate her employment with the district.
Browning said Falcone, whose leadership has been under fire for the past year, attempted to circumvent the confidentiality of the district's recent climate survey, which did not portray Connerton in a positive light. Falcone's leadership post already was tenuous, with the administration paying close attention to rampant complaints about her tactics.
Retired administrator Renee Sedlack had been hired to give Falcone feedback on her management skills. But just two weeks ago, Browning told the Gradebook he did not expect to make changes before the end of the school year, if at all.
Falcone's repeated efforts to gain access to the climate survey responses, despite being told that information was private, prompted Browning to act sooner.
