Adult ed courses no longer free at Pasco-Hernando Community College

Adults seeking additional education toward a high school diploma used to be able to take GED and Adult Basic Education (ABE) courses for free at Pasco-Hernando Community College.

No longer.

Thanks to changes by the Florida Legislature, the college will begin to charge tuition for the programs effective Friday, July 1. Other adult education programs across Florida are being hit by the same fees.

The new costs are $30 per term for Florida residents and $120 for non-residents. PHCC registration is ongoing. For more information call 727-816-3748 or visit the Teaching-Learning Center at any PHCC campus.
