All education issues run through Pasco County
There's been a shakeup in education leadership over at the Florida House, and it puts Pasco County lawmakers firmly in control.
For next session, Rep. Will Weatherford, R-Wesley Chapel, above left, will chair the Education Policy Council, and Rep. John Legg, R-New Port Richey, will become vice chairman of the House Policy Council. Legg also will continue to head the Education Pre-K-12 Policy Committee.
Count on the two to press once again for a scaling back of the class-size amendment implementation, among other things. This should make the county's legislative delegation meeting in December at Wiregrass Ranch High pretty interesting, no?
