Autism center seeks local support
The Florida Autism Center of Excellence in Tampa is one of only four schools of its type in the state, serving children on the autism spectrum with education services that meet their special needs.
The number of students it educates is growing. So the school is seeking some added support.
But it's not just an ordinary fund raiser. The school is selling memberships in its student-run garden program. By joining, members can get a supply of fresh vegetables grown and harvested by the students throughout the year.
Interested? The school will have a garden open house at 11:30 a.m. on March 29 and 10 a.m. on March 31.
