The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund is making noises like it plans to sue the Pinellas school district over its latest student assignment plan, which appears on its way to adoption.
A lawyer for the civil rights group has written a letter to the district saying that the plan would resegregate the schools, in complete disregard for diversity. But superintendent Clayton Wilcox told the Times that he had no plans to recommend a delay in voting when the School Board meets today.
