Better benefits proposed for USF grad assistants
USF's board of trustees will vote Wednesday on proposed changes aimed at improving working conditions for graduate assistants.
The changes include increasing USF's contribution to graduate assistants' health insurance from $600 to $940 a year, and increasing the stipends for master's and doctoral students working at the university. Master's students will get a max of $8,100, up from $7,800. Doctoral students will get up to $9,580, compared to the previous $8,550 maximum.
The trustees will vote during a meeting and conference call at noon at the Gibson Alumni Center. For more info, click here.
