Boca Ciega High still looking for a principal
When the principal shuffling ended in Pinellas over the summer, Boca Ciega High was left with an empty seat. And it's still empty. The district re-posted the principal vacancy Friday, with a new deadline: tomorrow.
For those who need a refresher, Superintendent Julie Janssen moved former Boca Ciega principal Paula Nelson to Northeast High to trade places with former Northeast High principal Kevin Hendrick, which infuriated Northeast supporters. A few weeks later, with Hendrick on the verge of accepting a job outside the district, Janssen made him the director of high schools. Former Osceola High principal Carol Moore is the interim principal at Boca Ciega.
We're not sure why the Bogie job was re-posted. We asked the district late Monday and have not heard back yet.
