Byrd-USF partnership moves forward
Forging ahead with plans for a USF-Byrd Center partnership, a new seven-member board formed to establish the parameters of the relationship was announced this morning. The group meets for the first time Friday morning at the Alzheimer's Research Institute on USF's campus.
The board has until the end of August to hammer out an affiliation agreement between the Institute and USF.
The board members are:
Johnnie B. Byrd, Jr., member and former chair of the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute Board of Directors, former speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, attorney in private practice.
Kathy Harris, vice-chair of the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute Board of Directors, General Counsel and Chief of Staff for the Supervisor of Elections
Pamela Vergara, chairman of the Board of Directors, president of Skyshadow Ventures, Inc. and faculty member at Hillsborough Community College
Dr. Wayne Goodman, director of Division of Adult Translational Research and Treatment Development, National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda, MD.
Karen Holbrook, vice president for Research and Innovation at USF
Frank L. Morsani, member of the USF Foundation Board of Trustees
Sherrill M. Tomasino, member of the USF Board of Trustees
