Clinton calls for universal pre-k
Standing in Miami Beach, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton today proposed spending $10-billion to create a prekindergarten program for the nation's 4-year-olds similar to the one Florida already has - except her plan would require teachers to have bachelor's degrees. "Our educational system needs to be strengthened from start to finish, but we have to start where it all begins," Clinton told an audience of children, teachers and parents, according to the Associated Press.
