Closer look at third-grade FCAT scores in Pinellas

Bad news: Three Pinellas elementary schools saw double-digit, percentage-point decreases in both reading and math on this year's third-grade FCAT scores, which came out last week: Campbell Park, Maximo and Sanderlin.

Good news: Two schools saw double-digit increases in both subjects: Madeira Beach Fundamental and Walsingham.

Lots of variation inbetween, of course. (Three other schools besides Walsingham and Madeira Beach, for example, made double-digit gains in reading: Bear Creek, Belleair and Cypress Woods.) The two attachments below, put together by the district, show the numbers school by school, last year and this year, and tease out which schools made progress and which ones didn't.
