Commissioner Smith at Gibbs High tomorrow
Florida Education Commissioner Eric J. Smith will be at Gibbs High tomorrow to tour the school and talk with the administrative team, according to the Pinellas school district's communications office. As far as we can recall, this is the only Pinellas school Smith has toured since becoming commissioner in late 2007 (though he was on the sidewalk outside St. Petersburg High for this event in October.) The visit comes six weeks after Gibbs shed its F grade for a C (which may be a B upon appeal.)
