Trolling news clips today, we came across this Las Vegas Review-Journal article that included Florida education commissioner Eric J. Smith among 49 candidates under review to lead the Clark County school district.

The story stated that Smith's name was suggested, and it was "not known" whether he had actually applied for the superintendent job.

We asked. Through a spokesperson, Smith made clear he didn't apply and didn't know who might have submitted his name to the search firm. "He has no interest in leaving his post here in Florida," she said.
