Credit union to the rescue
Chamberlain High School's senior class understandably felt upset. Their school sponsor was arrested for stealing more than $10,000 from them, money that was supposed to support prom and graduation activities. They didn't know how they would make up so much ground after all those car washes, food sales and other fund raising efforts. Then today Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union quietly stepped forward with a check for $9,701. No mugging for the cameras or fancy speeches. Just some help for the kids. The school district sent out a press release to let news media know. Thought you'd like to know, too.
