Crist names two to UF trustees board
Gov. Charlie Crist just appointed a Gainesville attorney and a Boca Raton physician to the UF board of trustees, pending Florida Senate confirmation.
Crist named S. Daniel Ponce, 59, of Gainesville, partner and attorney for Legon Ponce & Fodiman P.A., a firm based in Miami, to replace chairman Manuel Fernandez. Ponce's term ends Jan. 6, 2011.
Dr. Steven M. Scott, 59, of Boca Raton, a physician and chairman of Scott Holdings, will succeed C. David Brown. His term would end in January 2013.
