Crist warning state agencies of potential budget cuts
From the Florida governor's office, more gloomy news on next year's budget.
"I have discussed the state's financial forecast with the Governor this afternoon," Crist budget director Jerry L. McDaniel writes in this memo late yesterday. "As he indicated at the most recent Agency Heads meeting, we anticipate no requested increases in the agencies' budgets as well as a full slate of reduction options."
McDaniel also writes that "insuring adequate funding levels for Education and Public Safety ... has always been a priority."
