Despite potential conflict at Pinellas history fair, outcome stands



Disheartened by his experience at the Pinellas County history fair earlier this month, Jack Irvine asked school board members on Tuesday to consider making student involvement in the popular program voluntary instead of mandatory.

A state history fair coordinator agrees there was a conflict of interest problem with one of the judges, but says the issue does not merit change. Read Jack's story, from this morning's Tampa Bay Times, here.
