Dropout prevention hits the road in Pinellas
As part of its effort to rethink dropout prevention, the Pinellas County School District will be rolling out "mobile credit recovery" units to six sites around the district beginning in January.
The mobile units will include laptops where students can work on courses through Moodle or NovaNet. The students will be helped by virtual dropout prevention teachers and part-time certified teachers.
Diana Lenox, the new director of dropout prevention, listed some of the department’s other efforts in a presentation to the school board this week. Click on the link below to see it.
